BUFFALO STARS TO WEBCAST HOME GAMES FROM   NEW STATE-OF-THE-ART MEDIA CENTER - PRESS BOX IN 2010-11   (Cheektowaga, NY) - The Buffalo Stars Junior Hockey organization will, for the second consecutive season, telecast their home games from Holiday Twin Rinks live on the internet at www.fasthockey.com . Only this year, they’ll do it from their all-new high-tech press box.   Constructed and just completed this summer, the Buffalo Stars Press Box will house a small webcasting studio, state-of-the-art sound system for music and in-house announcements and internet access for the purpose of relaying live scores and stats to their leagues’ statisticians.   The Stars have made a significant investment into this new high-tech venture, which is part of the organization’s overall strategy to advance itself into one of the elite junior teams in the northeastern USA.   “This is a press box that rivals many Junior and even College sports teams,” said Stars president and general manager Pete Preteroti. “It’s the next step in creating the most professional in-house experience for our team and for our fans that we can.”   The Stars will debut their new press box and media studio this weekend during the Buffalo Hornets’ Annual Labor Day Tournament. Buffalo Stars set to begin play   The Buffalo Stars Juniors wrap up their month long Training Camp this weekend with their participation in the 10th Annual Buffalo Hornets Greater Buffalo Labor Day Shootout.     The Stars Empire Junior B and Continental Junior B teams will compete in round robin play that will also include the Mass Maple Leafs (CHA); Chicago Hitmen (GLJHL) and Scranton/Wilkes-Barrie (MET).  The Stars Empire takes to the ice first on Friday, September 3rd at 6:30pm and the Continental squad faces off against Chicago at 8:45pm that same night.   A total of 38 games will be played over the 4 day weekend and also includes U15 and U18 youth divisions. The new Buffalo Alliance teams will make their inaugural tournament appearance in this event. The Buffalo Alliance is a collaboration of the Buffalo Hornets and Buffalo Regals AA youth teams.     All games will be held at Holiday Twin Rinks in Cheektowaga.
